Mr. Levey received his B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley (1988) and his J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law (1992). Mr. Levey specializes in civil litigation with an emphasis in employment and business counseling and advocacy. He has extensive experience, and has successfully resolved cases in many forums of dispute resolution including, mediation, arbitration and trial. Mr. Levey served as a Los Angeles County Superior Court volunteer arbitrator from 1995-1998. He has been a guest lecturer at the University of California , Irvine and a California State Bar approved Mandatory Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) presenter. Mr. Levey has received Martindale-Hubbell's highest rating, A/V, and is a 2006 & 2007 Southern California Super Lawyer.

 

Employment:

  • Provide counseling and advice regarding strategic planning for terminations, reductions in force, wage and hour issues, compliance with government regulations;
  • Negotiation of severance packages;
  • Creation and promulgation of employee policy and procedure manuals;
  • Creation and presentation of training and seminars for education of employees concerning harassment and workplace sensitivity issues.

 

Business:

  • Counsel and advise businesses in all facets of their enterprise;
  • Plan and execute strategies for avoidance of litigation wherever possible and pre-litigation planning when necessary;
  • Develop training programs and seminars for use in litigation avoidance and corporate responsibility.

 

Litigation:

  • Handle all aspects of complex litigation from inception of case through trial;
  • Advise clients regarding cost effective resolution options and analysis of cost/benefit of litigation risks and rewards.

 

Real Estate:

  • Represent commercial office building development and management companies in commercial leases and associated litigation;
  • Advise, negotiate and documented the purchase and sale of residential and commercial real estate property;
  • Litigate associated disputes.

 

Professional Liability:

  • Advise and represent doctors, lawyers and accountants in complex malpractice actions in mediation, arbitration and trial.
